Halloween Reminders

Tomorrow is Halloween in case anyone has their head in the sand. Since it is a regular chapel day, they students will wear chapel attire in the morning. They will be allowed to change into their costumes before lunch. Oral book reports are to be given tomorrow. If your child dresses up, it should be a costume of his/her book character. Costumes are not mandatory. Mrs. Jodi has volunteered to buy pizza for us for lunch, and we will begin party festivities after lunch. Thank you in advance to the Wintons for organizing the party.
Today we will read "The Pumpkin Patch Parable" by Liz Curtis Higgs, and we will carve a pumpkin. I hope that everyone has a safe and happy Halloween. Remember to "shine with
the light of Jesus"!

Reminders

Just a reminder that report cards will go out on Monday, October 22. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 23 from 3-6 pm. A letter will come home so that you can schedule a time with me. You will need to bring your 4th grader with you because our conferences are student lead. Your student will show you a portfolio of some of his/her work and share with you what he/she has learned this nine weeks. You will also have the opportunity to set goals for this quarter with your student. This is a very exciting activity that helps your child become more responsible for his/her learning.
Also don't forget Family Talent Night and trpohiy presentations tonight at 6:30 pm. Refreshments will be served by the PAT following the program.
School pictures will be made on Thursday. You will be able to view your proofs that afternoon.

John Thomas's multiplacation sundae

This is my sundae. You have to learn your 1's,2's,3's,4's,5's,6's,7's,8's,9's,10's,11's,12's. It took me a long time to learn them. I am so proud of myself.

Multiplication Sundaes

In class, when everybody got all their multipication we were going to have a sundae party! We had to get to 12 before we could have a party. October 5 is when we had the party. Our parents got to come. It was a great party. Thank you Mrs. Burton!!!!!

What's the scoop on multiplication?

The scoop is that everyone was able to say all multiplication tables. What a great job they did! Everyone worked really hard to learn these. They were rewarded with a banana split party. Parents came to join us, and we had a nice time together. Pictures of the party are coming soon!

See You at the Pole

We had a great time at "See You at the Pole". What an honor it was to be able to pray together with our families an friends. As you can see, even the babies participated. Aren't they cute. Thanks to John Thomas and Jefferson for holding the flags. Great job guys.

Jefferson's plant & animal cell

This is my plant and animal cell. Animal cells and plant cells are different because a plant cell has a cell wall and chloroplast. they are alike because they both have a cell membrane, a nucleus, and cytoplasm, vacuole, chromosomes, and mitochondrion.
