Bible craft

Today we worked on making replicas of Solomon's palace. When everything dries the students will bring them home to be spray painted. The models should be returned to school on Tuesday, September 4 for us to use in next week's Bible lessons.

Fair Food Booth

Thanks to all of you who have already signed up to work the Food Booth. This endeavor would be impossible without your support. Don't forget we will have a Food Booth Clean up day again this Saturday, September 1 from 9am-12pm.

Goody Box

We need bags of individually wrapped treats/candies for our classroom "Goody Box". Students get something from the "Goody Box" occasionally for extra good behavior, class participation, showing effort and enthusiasm for learning, and just about anything else that I want to reward them for. Cap erasers are also great for the goody box. Everyone loves a nice, clean eraser. Thanks for helping us out with this.

Tests, tests, tests!

Just a reminder that we will have Chapter 1 Social Studies test tomorrow. It will be open book. The students have completed a review in class today.
We will also have a reading test on the story Yingtao's New Friend on Thursday. All reading tests are also open book. It is great TCAP practice for the students to "look up" the answers. Friday will also be the spelling test on lesson 10 and memory verse quiz.

See You at the Pole

Join us on Wednesday, September 26 at 8:00 am in the front parking lot for See You at the Pole! We will gather with students, teachers, parents, family, and friends to pray together. You can order "See You at the Pole" shirts to wear that day. The last day for orders is Friday, August 31. See you there!

Thank you SOOO much!

I want to give a BIG thanks to Tonya Scott for coming in to help me set up our classroom blog. What a great help she is! All of my parents at Covenant Academy are so cooperative and helpful. Serving the Lord here at CA is an absolute dream for me and my family.

Tuesday's Bible Lesson

Today we made "bumper stickers" with this week's memory verse on them. The children worked really hard and are excited about finding a place to stick their "bumper stickers".

Don't forget!

Don't forget shoeboxes for our Bible project this week! Bring them in by Wednesday.
