My project was very easy to do. I used batteries for mitochondrion and play-doh for cytoplasm.
I used twine for the cell membrane, and ribbon for the cell wall.
It was very fun!!!!

My, how they've grown! The top picture is of Caroline, JT, and Jefferson and outside the petting zoo at the fair last September as 4th graders. I practically had to tie them down yesterday to get them to let me to take the same picture of them as 5th graders. I made them rotate seats so that I could have a picture of them in the same seating arrangement. It really got on their nerves, but I couldn't resist. I think JT gets the award for most growth/change.
in science. I will post pictures soon. We are currently working on adding and subtracting with large numbers in math. In language we are studying the subject and predicate parts of sentences. They are pros at this. In social studies we are working on map skills. We are studying modern-day Bible heroes and the history of hymns. We have learned about making choices that honor God everyday.
